As Senior Exhibit Developer, I oversaw the development of Owl Club of Denver: Legacies of Excellence which showcases the nearly 85-year legacy of Denver’s esteemed all-Black debutante cotillion. Through a rich array of photographs, oral histories, and artifacts, the exhibition honors the accomplishments of African American young women and community leaders in the face of systemic exclusion.

The exhibit highlights members whose impact resonates far beyond the ballroom—including figures like Tuskegee Airman Omar D. Blair, trailblazer Elvin R. Caldwell, and future Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice—demonstrating the Owl Club’s enduring influence on leadership and representation in Colorado’s African American community.
